Subject: Byrnes in Fethard

Message Detail:
Anastatia Byrne (nee Phelan) and her husband John Byrne and two small sons Michael and William migrated to Victoria, Australia in 1841. A poem written by Anastatia's brother, John Phelan, indicates the Byrne family were living Fethard in 1840. Anastatia's parents, Michael Phelan and Johanna (nee Kelly) had a draper's store in Clonmel. John Byrne's parents were William Byrne and Margaret (nee Johnson) and William had land (somewhere in Ireland) and also a Jeweller's business. Hoping to connect to others researching this Byrne family.
