My mom, Mary Hannigan and my dad, Patrick Dunphy both came from Fethard. My dad's home is still there. I was told there is a corner called Dunphy's corner where my father lived. Is anyone familiar with this? Both my Mom and Dad came to the states in the 1920's. Does anyone know of them? Thanks

Hello, I was on the fethard site looking for where my grandmother might be buried, and saw your details. My mother was Elizabeth Hannigan, she had a sister Mary who went to America, and married a Patrick Dunphy.I believe may have lived in Long Island. There was a sister called Hannah, Ellen who lived in Wales, brothers I am not sure how many, but I know there was a Jim, Patrick, Johnny and I am not sure how many more, but it was a large family. My mothers mother died in 1918, and her maiden name was Carty, My grandfather was Rodger Hannigan. Does any of these details match your family, if so I would love to hear from you
